[nx_spacer size=”5″]Im 7. Kapitel des Buches Daniel geht es um seine Vision von den vier Tieren (= Weltreiche), vom kleinen Horn und vom Gericht. Ich habe daraus drei Schlussfolgerungen gezogen:
(1) Wenn das aufgewühlte Meer ein Symbol für politische Machtkämpfe, gesellschaftliche Unruhe, Aufbegehren unzufriedener Menschenmassen ist, dann haben wir auf dieser Welt zzt. etwa Windstärke 12 (Orkan).
(2) So wichtig demokratisch geführte Wahlen sind: Der Bestand der Nationen hängt letztlich nicht vom menschlichen Können oder Wollen ab, sondern von Gottes Gesamtplan für diese Welt; denn er legt die ihnen zugemessene Frist fest, auf Tag und Stunde (Vers 12).
(3) Wenn eine Kirche oder Religion zu Machtmitteln greift, um Menschen “zu ihrem Glück zu zwingen”, verlässt sie den Boden der Freiheit, auf dem allein Liebe und Nachfolge gedeihen kann. Die Menschen, die aufgrund ihrer Glaubensüberzeugung weltweit unterdrückt und verfolgt werden oder im Laufe der Geschichte wurden, sind nicht vergessen. Gott wird sie im Gericht rehabilitieren und ihnen einen Ehrenplatz in seinem ewigen Reich zuweisen.
An anchor in stormy times (Daniel 7)
The 7th chapter of the book of Daniel is about his vision of the four beasts (= world empires), the little horn and the judgment. I have drawn three conclusions from this:
(1) If the troubled sea is a symbol of political power struggles, social unrest, revolts of discontented masses of people, then at the moment we have in this world about wind force 12 (hurricane).
(2) As important as democratic elections are: The survival of nations does not ultimately depend on human ability or will, but on God’s master plan for this world, for he sets the time limit for them.
(3) When a Church or religion uses instruments of power to force people to its luck, it leaves the ground of freedom, where only love and discipleship can flourish. Those people who are oppressed and persecuted worldwide because of their faith convictions, or who have been oppressed and persecuted throughout history, are not forgotten. God will rehabilitate them in judgment and give them a place of honour in his eternal kingdom. (Foto)
Un ancla en tiempos tormentosos (Daniel 7)
El séptimo capítulo del libro de Daniel trata de su visión de las cuatro bestias (= imperios mundiales), el cuerno pequeño y el juicio. He sacado tres conclusiones al leerlo:
(1) Si el mar agitado es un símbolo de las luchas por el poder político, el malestar social, las revueltas de las masas descontentas, entonces en este momento tenemos en este mundo un huracán de fuerza 12.
(2) Por muy importantes que sean las elecciones democráticas: La supervivencia de las naciones no depende en última instancia de la capacidad o voluntad humana, sino del plan maestro de Dios para este mundo, ya que él establece el límite de tiempo para cada una de ellas.
(3) Cuando una Iglesia o religión utiliza instrumentos de poder para forzar a la gente a su suerte, abandona el terreno de la libertad, el único en el que el amor y el discipulado pueden florecer. Quienes son o fueron oprimidas y perseguidas en todo el mundo debido a sus convicciones de fe no han caído al olvido. Dios los rehabilitará en el juicio y les dará un puesto de honor en su reino eterno. (Foto)
