[nx_spacer size=”5″]Drei Gedanken kamen mir beim Lesen von Daniel Kapitel 11 in den Sinn:
1. Ich verstehe das alles nicht – auch nicht, nachdem ich ca. sechs Kommentare konsultiert habe. In einem war zu lesen: „Daniel 11 gehört zu den schwierigsten Kapitel der Bibel.“ Das hat mich sehr getröstet.
2. Vers 27 kommt mir irgendwie bekannt vor: Über zwei Könige, die sich zu bilateralen Gesprächen treffen, heißt es hier: „Sie sitzen an einem Tisch, belügen sich gegenseitig und sind nur darauf aus, den anderen hinters Licht zu führen.“
3. Ich werde wohl dem Rat von D. L. Moody folgen: „Beim Bibellesen soll man es so machen, wie beim Fischessen. Kommt man an eine Gräte, isst man einfach um sie herum weiter.“ Es gibt Bibelteile genug, die sonnenklar und selbst für Kinder verständlich sind.
It’s all Greek to me (Daniel 11)
Three thoughts came to my mind while reading Daniel chapter 11:
1. I don’t understand all this – even after having consulted about six commentaries. One of them said: “Daniel 11 is one of the most difficult chapters of the Bible.” I found that very consoling.
2. Verse 27 seems somehow familiar to me: It’s about two kings who meet for bilateral talks: “They sit at the same table, but in their hearts they will plan to do what is evil. And they will tell lies to each other.”
3. I think I’ll follow D. L. Moody’s advice: “When reading the Bible one should do it the same way as when eating fish. If you come across a fishbone, you just keep eating around it.” There are plenty of parts of the Bible that are as clear as daylight and understandable even to children. (Foto)
No entiendo ni jota (Daniel 11)
Tres pensamientos vinieron a mi mente mientras leía el capítulo 11 de Daniel:
1. No entiendo todo esto – incluso después de haber consultado unos seis comentarios bíblicos. Uno de ellos dice: “Daniel 11 es uno de los capítulos más difíciles de la Biblia”. Esto me ha consolado.
2. El versículo 27 me suena muy familiar: Se trata de dos reyes que se reúnen para conversaciones bilaterales: “Sentados a la misma mesa, estos dos reyes pensarán sólo en hacerse daño, y se mentirán el uno al otro.”
3. Creo que seguiré el consejo de D. L. Moody: “Cuando leas la Biblia, haz lo mismo que con el pescado. “Cuando se lee la Biblia se debe hacer de la misma manera que cuando se come pescado. Si te encuentras con una espina, sigues comiendo a su alrededor.” Hay muchas partes de la Biblia que son tan claras como la luz del día y comprensibles incluso para los niños. (Foto)
